Prepare reusable npm clean install, check, optional additional prebuild check and build using the existing cache helper.
Validate gate ordering/failures, frozen adapter compilation and existing pnpm behavior locally (12 tests); staged Gitleaks 8.30.1 scan passes.
Review/merge, release and promote the library change.
Adopt the prepared Documentation callers and verify hosted Node setup, npm gates and emitted status names.

Documentation’s source and bundle validation callers, paired bundle/deploy channel migration and existing organization registry-secret bindings are prepared locally and held until the new adapter is promoted. No package-manager migration, manual workflow dispatch or deployment is authorized by this preparation. Tracks Homelab/Documentation#56.

Documentation bundle run 349 failed before npm installation: setup-node tried to create /opt/hostedtoolcache on a non-root ci runner. The shared cache helper already uses RUNNER_TEMP, but the reusable Node validation entry points support pnpm only. Verified the npm adapter in promoted stable-v1 v1.44.5, snapshot dc4f42cecd, on 2026-10-17. Documentation adoption is now published in Homelab/Documentation#60, including the unchanged npm sequence, paired bundle/deploy channel migration, existing organization registry bindings and published chart image pin. Keep the final adoption acceptance item open until the caller merges and hosted Node/npm/status checks pass. No manual workflow was dispatched.
